Today’s Revelations

So for those who do not think that Internet Browsers make a difference in your life, they do!

For those that are going “what is a browser” let me tell you…. The “E” for Internet Explorer that you open to get to the internet is a browser. Google Chrome, and Mozilla FIrefox are browsers. It is your choice for how you get to the internet to go to different sites.

Now that you are clear on what a browser is, let me tell you the difference a browser can make.

I got to assist an individual agent today who was having an issue printing a CMA from our Tulsa Realtors Fusion site. Everytime that he would “print” the CMA using the “Internet Explorer” browser it would pop up a blank window or have him pick from a list of programs. It was very odd, and we were using a Windows 8 operating system, so all new to both of us. Instead of printing the CMA, we were actually able to save it as a PDF, open it and then print it. Seems like a lot of work.

I suggested it might be his browser, and since the “Google Chrome” browser is compatible with the Tulsa Realtors – Fusion site (not TEMPO) that he utilize that and see if he had the same issue. He followed my instruction, and had no problem.

Now the moral of this story is not that you have to use one browser or the other ALL the time, but if you are having issues on a particular internet site that is causing you a lot of frustration, you might consider opening another browser to see if helps. Some websites (KW being one of them) work better with different browsers (CHrome, or FIrefox for KW).

Wednesday “Hump” Day

As I have always’ hated the term “Hump” day, it seemed to fit for this Wednesday in particular. As many of you may or may  not know, I have a toddler, a almost 10 year old, and an 11.5 year old. My mornings are very scheduled as morning time is my turn of the day to handle getting the kids to where they need to go.

Wednesday seemed to be going fine, I got up about 5:30 a.m. got ready, fixed breakfast for all, got the 11.5 year old to bus stop by 7:05, and off to school. Went home, watered my flowers, finished getting ready, and getting the toddler ready. Made my breakfast, made my lunch, got on the computer to do a few things for the office  and before I knew it we had to get out of the house to get my almost 10 year old to the bus stop. So I grab all my bags, the toddler, all liquids (cause I have my coffee, water, and smoothie still), dogs are in their kennels, doors locked, and we are off! Drop the kid off at the  bus stop, and start to drive to my Sister-in-Law’s day care in B.A.

Today I was very responsible to listen to the traffic report on the radio and there was wreck at Riverside, so I decided to go the way of the Creek Turnpike today. So I am driving, I’m driving, I’m feeling good about the morning, Zoe has fallen asleep again, but something is missing….. Something is wrong…… Then it hits me!

I look down, and I still have my (RED) gardening flip flops on, and no back up shoes in the car!!!!! So I do what any woman would do, I scream S%&#!!

I am now in the position of making a decision of turning around and going all the way back to my house, or making a quick shoe purchase before work. (I picked the latter)

I asked my sister-in-law what size shoe she wore when I dropped Zoe off for daycare, but there was no luck to be had in that area, so……

off I went to Target to get a $15 pair of shoes. I literally ran into that store, but then when I go to check out I have a checkout woman that reminds of that SNL skit of Target! She asks me where I got the shoes?! HELLO!!! We are in Target! And then if I had a “Red Card” which I do, and I was already sliding through to pay. Once I paid with my “Red Card” she was so delighted to tell me that I saved “2.00” on my shoes!

Give me the receipt lady and let me get out of here! Needless to say I was late, but I got a great revelation for the day as a working mommy….

Dotloop Issue with Verifying Signatures

So I was helping some of our agents with an issue with “My Transactions” through DotLoop. I was put in touch with their lender because the lender could not “verify” signatures on this particular transaction. Upon talking to the lender, I found out that he has been a user of Dotloop in previous transactions, and he usually has been able to print from their website a Signature Verification form that has identified the signature date, time, and certificate number assigned to each document. The link that was sent to him to log in on this transaction and do so would not work for him. Here is what I found out from our Dotloop representative:

  • If all documents within your loop do not have at least one signature, then a party (like a lender) may get an error message when trying to log in to verify signatures all all forms listed.
  • To allow someone access to verify signatures, you may either download a PDF copy of your electronic form, and email it over the party who wants to verify signatures (there will be a specific verify link at the top of your document page that will link them in), OR you may invite them to loop so that they can review the documents there.

I hope this is clear as mud, because I it happens, so we might as well learn from it right?
